Suite Harusi | Mafia Island

Suite Harusi | The Honeymoon Sanctuary

Suite Harusi is intentionally positioned within the most secluded geographic quadrant of Eco Shamba Kilole Lodge’s 13-acre managed botanical property. Specifically engineered to provide an isolated, low-stimulus environment for couples or honeymooners, the bungalow is set back from the main guest pathways to ensure absolute acoustic and visual privacy. The internal architecture spans a precise 45-square-meter footprint, balancing streamlined utility with spacious comfort.

The structural framework honors traditional East African building techniques, featuring high, exposed overhead trusses and load-bearing columns carved from resilient regional timber. The roof is pitched at a steep angle to allow rising heat to collect well above the living zone, facilitating continuous air circulation. he bungalow features oversized, heavy-screened windows positioned precisely to capture prevailing cross-breezes that sweep through the lower forest canopy. This layout naturally vents indoor humidity and maintains a fresh indoor climate.
